Ruang Temu #2 : Cara Mengolah Ide

On Saturday, October 30, 2021 Himaprodi Diksasindo carried out one of its new work programs, the Ruang Temu. The Ruang Temu is a work program in the form of live Instagram about writing, literature, and education with resource persons in accordance with their fields. This time, the Ruang Temu presents Andre Wijaya, a writer booking editor and outstanding student at UGM and will discuss how to manage ideas on Instagram live broadcasts through Himaprodi Diksasindo’s Instagram, namely @diksasindo.ub and Andre Wijaya’s Instagram, @adrewjy, moderated by Muhammad Kriswanto, a student. Diksasindo.
In the discussion, Andre said that he agreed with the statement “everyone can write” and Andre also said that anyone can process ideas, anything can be done if you are serious.
Entering the question-and-answer session, several questions were asked about authorship. Andre said that writing gives freedom to express something. When we write we can be anything when we write, today we can be presidents, tomorrow we can be fathers and so on.
The author certainly has experienced a deadlock of ideas when making a work. According to Andre, the impasse of ideas will be present if the author has a ‘distance’ from his writing. Andre’s way of overcoming the impasse of ideas is to go around looking for inspiration or other ideas. In addition, to minimize the impasse of ideas, Andre gives tips to immediately write what is in his head, whatever it is.
The impasse of ideas in the writer can also be felt when the work or writing has experienced a widening of meaning, Andre gives tips to reread the work until you get bored so that you know where the writing error is in order to avoid widening the meaning. The more often we read writing, our position or point of view will be different from the point of view of the reader, no longer the writer.
In addition to the deadlock of ideas, the obstacle in writing is confusion in starting a piece of writing. This can be overcome by understanding the purpose of writing, for whom will this paper be read? From there, motivation and ideas will emerge to start a piece of writing. In addition, understand the theme and do research that supports the work.
Ideas can develop optimally if we discuss not only with people, but also through books or works. The author certainly needs advice or input from others for his writing, discussing with many people makes the author know many points of view. All back again to the purpose to whom the writing was addressed.
Ideas often come by themselves, to process them, prepare small notes to record ideas that suddenly appear to be developed later. In writing a scientific paper, it is necessary to process ideas by reading writings related to the ideas obtained or doing research.
From this discussion, it can be concluded that the main key to turning an idea into writing is to read more, because reading we as writers will find many new perspectives and different points of view.
