Exploring Diversity Through Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka(PMM)

Program Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka(PMM) is part of the Merdeka Campus program. This program provides an opportunity for students to attend lectures outside the study program and university of origin for one semester. Students can have the opportunity to study at other campuses in Indonesia, can explore & learn about the cultural diversity of the archipelago, meet, make friends, tell stories, and share with students from various regions.

The registration for the second batch of the PMM program was opened on Friday, May 13 until June 3 2022. Of course, this program was welcomed by students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program. Nadia Khoirun Nisa, one of the students of the 2021 Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program expressed her interest in this program. “This program can be an opportunity to gain experience, insight, and at the same time explore diversity in Indonesia. Incidentally, I also like to write articles, so it’s pretty good to be able to find ideas for article materials as well as travel.” He said when asked the reason for registering for the PMM program.

The announcement of the results of the PMM program selection was delivered on July 5, 2022 through the PMM website. It was noted that as many as 4 students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program passed the selection. The four students who have passed are currently sitting in semester 3. Later, the participants who have passed will carry out the PMM program for one semester starting from August to December 2022 at the receiving university. In this program, student participants who pass will take 20 credits and carry out Nusantara Module activities. The Nusantara module is an activity to explore cultural, religious, and historical diversity in the university area. Later there will be many activities such as discussions, talk shows, and other social activities.(ais)
