Saturday (21/08/2021), Faculty of Cultural Sciences Universitas Brawijaya held the annual PKKMB agenda. Attended by more than 900 participants, this year’s PKKMB FCS has the theme “Internalization of Cultured Character “Implementation of Cultured Character in the Industrial Era 4.0”. The PKKMB series of activities were carried out for two days, on August 21-22, 2021. Due to the current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, all PKKMB FIB 2021 activities, both ORDIK and ORMAWA were carried virtually via Zoom Webinar and broadcasted live streaming on the humasfibub Youtube channel.
The first event of PKKMB FCS UB, namely ORDIK, began with the opening and welcoming by Mrs. Jamila Wijayanti M.Pd as the host of the PKKMB FIB 2021. After that, all the committee and participants of PKKMB 2021 together sang the Indonesia Raya song and continued with the FIB march, which sang by Elite Voice FIB. Furthermore, the opening of PKKMB FCS UB 2021 by the Chief Executive, namely Mrs. Dra. Elisabeth Woro P., M.Li, and remarks by the Dean of FCS UB, namely Prof.Dr. Agus Suman, SE, DEA. Then, the official opening ceremony of the Chanakya 1 ORDIK series by pinning the participant’s ID to freshman by the Dean of FCS UB, Prof.Dr. Agus Suman, SE, DEA.
Afterwards, the freshmen watched Selayang Pandang FCS UB video and prayer together led by Mr Agus Budi Cahyono, S.S., M.LT. Entering the main event, first-year students received material exposure about the academic system, including academic life, the Fast Track program, independent learning at the Merdeka Campus, and academic ethics, and also two sessions of QnA. Then, the main event ended and continued with the FCS UB Study Program debriefing by each Head of the Study Program.
Overall, The PKKMB event on the first day can be said successful. Although there were some mini obstacles, such as signal interference, the executive committee could appropriately resolve it. Hopefully, the following events can be even better.
