BEDAH SKRIPSI: ALUMNI CONTRIBUTION FOR DIKSASINDO

As a form of contribution from the alumni of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education (Diksasindo), the alumni held a thesis review event for Diksasindo students, both those who were in charge of the thesis program and students who had not taught the course. This Thesis Surgery activity has been held three times by alumni. It can be seen that Diksasindo alumni seriously support students who are still carrying out studies to be smooth in the implementation of the thesis program.
The Thesis Surgery event was opened by the Head of the Diksasindo Study Program Nanang Bustanul Fauzi, S.S., M.Pd “This Thesis Surgery activity is expected to be put to good use by all DIksasindo students, not only for final semester students, but for all Diksasindo students” said Nanang.

In the Thesis Review activity this time was guided by Diksasindo alumni in 2011, namely M. Ighfir as moderator and also Dewi Masitoh, M.Pd as presenters. In this activity, Thesis Surgery specifically describes the thesis in the field of literature, not forgetting to mention a little about education and linguistics. The title of the thesis that was appointed as the material for the thesis surgery this time is “Take Steps Until the Footsteps of Mingke’s Nationalism in the Romance of Pramoedya Ananta Toer’s Footsteps (Poscolonial Studies)” by Dewi Masitoh. Dewi clearly explained how the thesis process was carried out from the beginning to the end of the work, consulting with the supervisor and also how the trial process went.
“Sit and Work” according to Dewi is the most important sentence to do when the thesis is being worked on. Dewi also did not escape giving tips that can be done when in the process of working on the thesis, including making a regular schedule, being consistent in consultation with the supervisor lecturer, and directly working on the revision given by the supervisor during the consultation process.

In addition to delivering material regarding thesis work, this event also held a question and answer session by discussion participants. The first question was asked by Rukhi Diksasindo 2016 regarding what sites or portals can be accessed to support thesis work. Also a question by Ikfi Da’at Aulia Diksasindo 2016 about how to thoroughly discuss one theme raised in the entire thesis discussion.
After all the material delivery and the question and answer process took place, the event ended with a group photo by the presenters and participants in the Thesis Surgery discussion.
